Day 3 – Maa Chandraghanta (Sahyata aur Veerta ka Santulan)

Maa Chandraghanta is worshipped on Tritiya (Day 3). She is known for the half-moon shaped bell on her forehead, symbolizing alertness and protection. She represents the balance of softness and strength—the ability to stay kind without becoming weak.

  • Vahana: Lion
  • Form: Ten-armed, with weapons
  • Meaning: Courage, protection, removal of negativity and fear

Mantra: Om Devi Chandraghantayai Namah (ॐ देवी चन्द्रघण्टायै नमः)

Popular offerings: kheer or sweet prasad.
